When you are playing poker, even if you have an exceptional hand, the worst thing you can do is blurt out your decision. This will allow the other players to know that you are working with a good hand and you really don’t want to do that. Instead, you want to hesitate and appeared to be a bit weak and conflicted as if you are trying to make one of the most difficult decisions in your life. This will allow your opponents believe they are in control and this is an awesome way to bluff when playing poker. On the other hand, you do not have to have a good hand or even a decent hand to take your time when you are making decisions. Making decisions impulsively during a poker game is a bad idea no matter what it is you’re trying to accomplish.
Always think all of your decisions through very carefully to be absolutely sure of the play you are about to make. It is important to remember that during poker games you do not get a do over and no one is going to allow you to take your turn again. Whatever decision you make on what you will bet and how you will play your hand will stick and you will have to live with whatever the consequences are, either good or bad. This is what makes taking your time and thinking every move through so very important. This applies either you are a seasoned poker player or a novice player.
