Poker Hands

Here are the basic hand strengths in 5 hand poker games. Depending on the poker game there may be some variations, suchs as wild cards being added to the mix. In which case the hand with the real cards will be higher than the same hand with a wild card.

Poker Hand Strengths : Highest to Lowest

Royal Flush has 5 cards of the same suit from the 10 up to the Ace.

Straight Flush has 5 cards of the same suit in numerical sequence.

Four of a Kind 4 of the cards are of the same rank.

Full House this hand has a 3 of a kind as well as a pair of two cards.

Flush All 5 cards are the same suit, but NOT in numerical sequence.

Straight all 5 cards are in numerical sequnce, but NOT of the same suit.

Three of a Kind 3 of the cards are of the same value.

Two Pairs one pair of two cards and another pair of 2 cards of different rank.

One Pair one pair of two cards.

No Pair essentially this hand will have nothing in it. If everyone in the game was to have this hand, the winner would be determined by the highest ranking cards.
